I take personal pride in every piece that I create. With over 12 years of experience in the industry, I have worked with some of the most reputable artists, including Coen Mitchell at Tattoo Gold.
As an owner-operated business, I am dedicated to providing each client with a truly unique and memorable tattoo experience in a private, comfortable, intimate and unique environment.

About us
Welcome to Amarna Studio, boutique private Tattoo and Piercing studio in stunning Laingholm Beach, Auckland, New Zealand.
The Amarna Period was an era of Egyptian history during the later half of the Eighteenth Dynasty when the royal residence of the pharaoh and his queen was shifted to Akhetaten ('Horizon of the Aten') in what is now Amarna. It was marked by the reign of Amenhotep IV, who changed his name to Akhenaten(1353–1336 BC) in order to reflect the dramatic change of Egypt's polytheistic religion into one where the sun disc Aten was worshipped over all other gods. The Egyptian pantheon was restored under Akhenaten's successor, Tutankhamun.
Why Amarna?
We are a boutique purpose built 100m2 private studio set in amongst the beautiful Waitakere Ranges surrounded by native bush and birdsong, sitting clifftop with views over the majestic Manukau Harbour in Laingholm Beach Auckland New Zealand.
Our resident artist Cairo finished art school and embarked on her tattoo career with an apprenticeship with a well known and reputable Auckland studio for a year cutting her teeth before moving on to guest with other numerous well known Auckland studios, before opening her own private studio, whilst also continuing to guest. With over 12 years experience you are in safe hands, her vast knowledge, artistic ability both in design, composition and execution is outstanding, coupled with her natural outstanding artistic abilities you will forever treasure your personal curated design!
Our resident specialist qualified piercer Steve will look after your every piercing desire, from ear curation to jewellery selection, we have an ever increasing range of jewellery and if we don't have exactly what you are looking for we can order it in for you. We are NOT a high volume shop staffed with school leavers pumping holes in people, Steve takes his time with placement, strict hygiene procedures, care and attention to detail are the primary focus.
